We've been making a lot of changes.
- Spending a great deal of time on security related work as the climate in the industry continues to get more dangerous.
- Tuning spam filtering and anti-virus software. Always working to find the sweet spot between getting all your mail and as little spam as possible.
(with shocking success these days!)
- Adding new functionality, features and services:
While we've been at it the rest of the world has been creating some other problems. Namely the cost of healthcare and insurance. At our core the idea of increasing prices, other than as required by ICANN and other registry systems, is considered disdainful to say the least. But in the interest of staying healthy (or in some cases staying alive at all) something must change and the consistent message we get is that most services are far too cheap for the quality of service, the reliability and the heart put into building relationships. While we will not be changing existing services; In the last week of April 2019; prices on shared hosting services will increase. Depending on the service and their cost of operation this may be from 25% to 50%.
As the owner I just want to add a personal note here that, there is also the matter of terminal liver failure which I'm dealing with and that isn't particularly cheap either. I hate to do anything but reduce prices, but the fact is, we use only the best of everything and on low volume as a small business and our prices have always been nearly at cost, assuming high density. To make up a bit for the lack of great hosting options. This lack seems to still be a problem, but we do want to try to, eventually, do better than break even. Some day. I just wanted to personally express that this does not come easy and to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and loyalty through all these years.
If you have any questions or special needs, feel free to send in a ticket and we'll get right back to you!
All our best,
